Negotiations between mysterious stranger, unlife over stolen uranium takes unexpected turn for the worst!

So... long story short, I'd like see if my roll to hack into the security cameras worked. I want to see if the audio could in any way get Skittles in trouble.

If it MIGHT, then I'd like to know what I need to roll to remove or corrupt that audio.

Ruling

Going with what seems like a reasonable difficulty for station surveillance systems (60), Skittles does have a small success, enough to bump her permissions up a level at most, likely not up to a high admin level. She now has permission to submit a request to have a recording reviewed for possible data corruption, but not permission to do the audit herself.

If she chooses to try and further elevate her permissions, and succeeds, the editing would be a simple Tech roll with any programming or A/V editing skill (assuming she wants to modify it and make it seem realistic). If she just wants to scrap that window of time, no roll required, it's just a Delete button (although it may raise flags if someone reviews the data later, naturally).

Now that she's in the system illicitly, any failures from here forward (even the normal, non-catastrophic kind) will raise the system monitors' awareness of the intrusion. Enough awareness raised would have the obvious consequences of being discovered hacking station security systems (especially if they lock her out before she finished deleting the recording in question). So, ye be warned :) Not that you didn't probably already assume that'd be the case, but I wanted to make double-sure it wouldn't be a surprise later.

First thing though, can I

First thing though, can I read through the current data? Does it capture enough details of the conversation that (what little common sense I have) would tell me I'm going to get in trouble? Or are the details of the conversation inaudible?

Read access

Oh absolutely :) It does have sound as well as video, and it does not look good for any involved, really, Skittles among them.

But wiping audio would be

But wiping audio would be sufficient, right? Since he drew first and handed weapons over to a minor and such. Or is it still pretty damning even with that?

Audio wipe

An audio wipe has a good chance of changing the narrative of the scene - but the missing audio itself is still an oddity if you don't have time to make it look like a genuine data corruption error (versus just being not-there). May not be damning, just creates a leg to stand on for anyone opposing the initial assessment of the situation
